Bihar Sports University, Rajgir has been established through the Bihar Act 21 of 2021 i.e. Bihar Sports University Act, 2021. The University was formally established on 24th February, 2023 and its campus was inaugurated by Shri Nitish Kumar, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Bihar – cum – Chancellor of the University on 29th August 2024.
Bihar Sports University, Rajgir has been duly recognised by the University Grants commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The University has also been granted membership of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
Bihar Sports University, being a public authority as defined in Section 2(h) and in pursuance of provisions of Section 4 (1) (b) of Right to Information Act, 2005, intends to make available the information under the prescribed Manual, through its website to enable the citizens to access the information under the control of the University, so as to promote transparency and accountability in the working of such authority.
It is expected that the information presented to the public through this website would facilitate access to the citizens enough information. While compiling the information due care has been taken. However, if any mistake has crept in due to inadvertence, it is subject to correction by the University.
